    Astronaut and NPS alumnus Captain Alan “Dex” Poindexter is returning to NPS to talk about his latest space shuttle mission, STS-131, to the International Space Station. Open to anyone with base access. Public is welcome to attend with pre-registration.

    Centennial Wine and Beer Tasting “Sip the Peninsula” and Charitable Auction
    Tent on Herrmann Hall’s East Lawn
    Sponsored by MWR and the NPS Foundation and co-hosted by the Alumni Relations Office and the NPS Officer Students’ Spouses’ Club, the event will feature over 20 regional vineyards and breweries and live music while raising money for military family scholarships and various military and local charities through a silent auction.

    Welcome to the biggest social event NPS has seen in its 100 year history! Join us as we transform the historic ballroom in Herrmann Hall (the once famous Hotel Del Monte) and play host to an elegant and intimate evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, seated dinner, music, dancing and greetings from the International Space Station. The evening’s special guest is NPS alumnus Captain Alan “Dex” Poindexter, USN, NASA astronaut and Mission Commander of STS-131. Featuring the wine of Scheid Vineyards.
    Gala attire is formal.
    Military: USN - Dinner Dress White. USMC - Evening Dress B. USA, USAF - Dress Mess
    Civilian: Men - black tie;  Ladies - cocktail length/floor length

    NPS Memorial Day Concert on the Lawn and Non-Profit Fair
    Memorial Day is NPS’ biggest event of the year! The campus is open to the public and features live music, food and fun for both children and adults. Special performance by the Monterey Bay Symphony Orchestra at 1400 on the lawn in front of Herrmann Hall.
